Karen Sutherland

Karen began her career in Charlotte, NC as an assistant project manager and estimator in commercial construction, where she gained extensive experience in bidding coordination, contracting, and administrative management in support of multiple projects, complimented by exposure to the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System.

Before joining Sutherland & Associates, she served as a houseparent with The Community Service Foundation which specializes in alternative schooling, housing, and counseling for at-risk teens and their families in the greater Philadelphia area. She received training from the International Institute for Restorative Practices while maintaining a group home and assisting caseworkers and teachers in the care of those enrolled in the foundation’s programs.

Karen has been with Sutherland & Associates since 2017 and brings resourcefulness and creativity to her work as an administrative manager. She is conscientious with the details, maintaining a large work flow smoothly and without interruption. She rises to new challenges with ease. Her natural aptitude for content editing, graphic design, and data management help her manage a variety of responsibilities. Karen helps the Sutherland & Associates team stay lean and adaptable in a fast-paced work environment.
